I write our book, you weave the plot   

I let it flow, you give it all you’ve got 

I light the fire, you fan the flame     

I draw the map, you log the plan in our name 

I write the melody, you tune the song

I craft the words, you make them strong

I write the verses, you sing them out loud

It’s you who moves the crowd

I write the play, you play the part             

I give you lines, you speak them from the heart

I plant the seed, you make it grow          

I dig the path, but its you who guides its flow   

I build the bridge, you cross the stream

I chase the night, you catch the dream

Life is incomplete without you

I couldn’t  move on without you

I draw the dawn, you paint the day    

I dream the path, you pave it all along the way

I start the dance, you lead with grace

I find the time, you always find the place
