They promise you the world
and the best that life can give
to try and get you on their side
They promise dignity
and a roof above your head
but all the while they’re looking after their own
soon they leave you alone

All the promises were thrown away
just as soon as votes were cast
the winner was on his way

Left is right and maybe wrong

to believe in what they say

No use in having faith
