I’m chasing memories, 

and I’ll go where I want to be

I’m dreaming of the past 

back to when we were young and free

chasing memories, 

with only dreams as guides 

and that won’t do

chasing memories

looking for something new

I’m chasing long lost friends

But I know why I let them go

They were never meant to be

In my life, and that I know

Chasing memories

On the road to nowhere

And that wont do

Chasing memories

I’m running back to you

Once upon a time in my younger days

life was predictable in so many ways

Not Now, years vanish, like waves upon the shore

Leaving traces of stories that are no more

In faded photographs and songs long gone

I keep searching  for moments as the heart holds on

Among the whispers of what 

was felt

I rewrite life’s poem and I find myself…
